Nightly Prayers...

We pray w/ Drew every night and each night he brings a new set of 'stuff' to pray for. I thought I'd run through a few of the past few nights......

-Grandpa Duck (almost every night, yet he's only met him a few times)
-Morty and Bill's horses
-Morty and Bill's puppy
-Judy's puppy
-Our neighbor's bicycle
-Our neighbors
-Daddy, several times (not sure if Matt needs the prayers or what)
-Lightning McQueen
-Mater
-Bentley (my parent's dog)

That's all I can think of for now but I'll be sure to update as more hilarious things come about. It's pretty entertaining what comes out of the mouth of a two year-old.

Horses & Hats

We traveled to Piedmont this past weekend. The annual Fall Festival was going on so we were able to see some people we don't see very often. My aunt and uncle from CO came in to visit (sorry, don't have any pics!!) so we had some 'casual' rummy tournaments. Matt took home to gold and Morty had a hard time keeping her mouth in check.......go figure. Here are some pics of the kids--just cuties!

Well, we started potty training this weekend! It was a feat but I'm glad to say that we are going to make it and we're on our way to diaper-free! As you can see, it was quite a weekend.

Just some recent pics of the kids. I'm trying to be more consistent with this. Yeah, right! I have two kids; I barely have time to shower much less update my blog regularly! Rachel and Jess recently told me I need to join Facebook so I can hang out. Ha! Okay, okay, I'd love to and I should so I can keep in touch w/ people but really, when am I going to find time?? Right now, I'm enjoying a few minutes of naptime for both kids. Sigh. gotta love these guys!!

Water Please!

It's been an exciting few weeks. Allie is learning so much! And growing like a weed. Well, not quite that fast but she is getting bigger. The kids are doing great. We are enjoying as much outdoor time as possible. Drew loves his new swingset and Allie's even taken a few turns in the swings! It's finally getting warm around here. We deserve it! We're spending time at the pool to cool down and taking some indoor time in the air conditioning when you can wrangle Drew inside. Check out the kids below. Just another day in the life....

Eat Blue Smoke

Allie is no longer the newest member of our family. We've taken a new fishy under our wing. Since we're not quite ready for a dog we figured a fish was the next best thing. The best thing about getting a two-year-old a fish, letting him name it. Yep. Eat Blue Smoke is our new fishy's name. Drew came up with that all on his own. I have a feeling Daddy may have nudged him in that direction by showing Drew the world of fireworks; namely smoke balls. So we now feed Eat Blue Smoke every morning, all the while stopping Drew from reaching straight into the bowl to 'hold' Eat Blue Smoke. Ahhhh.....the joys of a toddler!

New baby, new play place

Hello everyone. As most of you know by now, we welcomed our new baby girl into the world on June 22. She's perfect! I never really saw myself with a girl but now I can't imagine life without her! Drew loves her and is constantly wondering what she's doing. Pretty funny. She's a great baby and we are having a blast getting used to a family of four!
In other news, Matt has been vigorously working to build Drew a swing set. I'd asked him to take on the challenge a few months ago. As an engineer, it was just too easy to simply buy one at the store, put it together and call it a done deal. Matt had to design one, cut the boards, put it together and set it up. I was hesitant at first, but I let him go ahead. I knew he'd be able to do it, I was just worried about the time frame and some of the hard labor. Well, he's successfully achieved his goal......almost. He's got it put together and now just has to do some finishing touches and add the swings and slides. It's pretty cool, I must admit. I'm very proud of him and can't wait to see Drew (and Allie) play on it! Pics below

Welcome Baby Lueddecke!

Allie Nicole Lueddecke was born Monday, June 22 @ 9:01am. She weighed 7lb12oz and was 19in long. The whole family is doing great! Drew loves her and can't wait to get her home. She looks just like Drew did when he was born!
